Get up, dust yourself off and bounce back.

Keeping our heads up and not repeating mistakes from recent games is essential for the Flamengo team.

Flamengo has evolved, but it hasn't yet reached the level everyone hopes for in the current edition of the Brazilian Championship. The 2009 national champions currently sit in 13th place, a position that isn't pleasing fans or the players themselves. Therefore, action is needed to react. That's what the Flamengo squad thinks.

Supporter Petkovic believes that it is already possible to see that the team is growing with each match and that the trend is for this to continue happening in the coming rounds.

"Flamengo's progress has been evident in recent games. Of course, other players are still being added. Diogo has fitted in very well, but he will be out for this next match (left ankle injury), Deivid hasn't made his debut yet (he should play next Sunday), and some players who came in haven't reached their ideal physical form or match rhythm. Even so, we've improved," he stated.

The player recalls important points that Fla left behind, but shows confidence that the team will recover them soon.

"Against Atlético-PR, we played well, but we lost. Against Atlético-MG, we could have won, but we didn't. This last game was practically won, and we lost (against Guarani, a 2-1 comeback). Unfortunately, this left us very shaken, especially the last game. Both goals came in stoppage time, something we can't repeat. And there's no point in lamenting. We have to lift our heads and continue to improve," he concluded.

This Wednesday (01.09), at 22pm, Flamengo faces Cruzeiro, at Parque do Sabiá, in the 18th round of the 2010 Brasileirão.
