Flamengo found out on Wednesday night (20) who their opponents will be in the group stage of the Conmebol Libertadores 2018. In a ceremony held at the headquarters of the highest body of South American football in Luque, Paraguay, the little balls placed Mais Querido in Group 4 of the competition.
River Plate (ARG) and Emelec (EQU) are the guaranteed teams in the group. The Argentines came from Pot 1 and are therefore seeded. The Ecuadorians came from Pot 2. Pot 4 will be the winner of Group 1 of the preliminary stage of the competition. Deportivo Táchira (VEN), Santiago Wanderers (CHI), Macará (EQU), Independiente Santa Fé (COL), and Melgar (PER) are also involved in the competition. Flamengo was in Pot 3.
The order of the matches has not yet been announced. The group stage will begin in February 2018.
