In a match valid for the third round of the Campeonato Carioca, Mais Querido hosted the Bangu team at Ilha do Urubu and achieved their third consecutive victory in the competition, maintaining their 100% record and increasingly isolating themselves at the top of group B. With a goal from Lincoln, created in a beautiful individual play by Vinicius Júnior, the triumph was sealed in the first half.
The match's opening minutes were balanced until the technical timeout. With intense competition for possession in midfield, both teams sought the best openings for their attacking attacks. The best opportunities for the red-and-black side were created on the left flank, with passing combinations between Ronaldo, Renê, Lucas Paquetá, and Vinicius Júnior.

Jean Lucas, with a beautiful shot from outside the box, caught it first time without letting the ball touch the ground, nearly opened the scoring. Paquetá then had a chance to score. Masterfully controlling a precise pass from Vinicius Júnior, the midfielder left the opposing defender on the ground and struck with the side of his left foot to put the ball out of the goalkeeper's reach. The shot, however, flew past the post and went out for a goal kick.

The red-and-black pressure would soon pay off. Lincoln scored his first goal for the Mais Querido seniors, finishing off a spectacular play by Vinicius Júnior, who used his skill to pass two defenders. The score was now open, and coach Paulo César Carpegiani's men began to play with even more confidence.

In the following period, other good opportunities were created through passing. With high quality, the movement and technical work developed during training at Ninho do Urubu were put into practice, increasingly involving the opposing defense. Despite the strong performance, luck was not on Flamengo's side when it came to finishing, being stopped by the opposing goalkeeper's skillful saves.

In the next round, it will be Flamengo's turn to face Vasco da Gama in the first classic of the year for Rubro-Negro. The match will be played this Saturday (27) at Maracanã, with the ball rolling from 17 pm.
