Lomba seeks first victory against Atlético-PR
The goalkeeper will make his debut against Furacão as a starter and hopes to get a positive result at the Arena

Marcelo Lomba's career as a Flamengo starter is just beginning. \ At 23 years old, the player is slowly establishing himself in the position and is thinking about \ achieving ever more impressive results with the red-and-black shirt.\ Next Sunday, he hopes to end a taboo: he has already traveled four \ times to matches at Arena da Baixada and never returned with a victory.

As a substitute, Lomba lost three times and drew once last year. Now as a starter, he hopes to change that. An observant player, he knows what to expect from his opponent and will do everything he can to maintain his low goals-conceded average this season.

"Before games, I always try to study the opponent throughout the week, and I've been watching the Atlético-PR team. I've been to the Arena four times, but I've never played. There were three defeats and a draw: Sunday could be the time for victory," he said.

\ Knowing that his responsibility at Flamengo only increases with each round, the\ goalkeeper is grateful for the support and recognition of the fans, but is \ aware that he still needs to work hard to give victories and \ titles to Rubro-Negro.

"Recognition is important today, but I have a lot to give. I can't be content with what I've achieved so far. The fans want victories, titles, and that only comes with hard work. I can never get discouraged. The responsibility is ever greater. This makes me need to work better every day," he concluded.
