Lomba wants to close out a special year with a spot in the Copa Sudamericana.
The goalkeeper earned a starting spot this season and hopes Flamengo will achieve its goal in this Brazilian Championship.

But he won't be satisfied if he can't help Flamengo qualify for the 2011 Copa Sudamericana. Motivated, he believes the team is on the right track to reach the international competition.
The goalkeeper believes Flamengo needs to be a bit more consistent in the coming rounds. According to him, the team must avoid the highs and lows they experienced midweek against Corinthians. If they do that, Lomba believes the team has everything it needs to finish the season well, in a good position in the standings.
"I want to finish the year well. What we need is a winning streak. We need to play more games like the one against Inter, where we won convincingly. We've been alternating between good and bad moments, like in the game against Corinthians, with a bad first half and a better second half. When that gets sorted out, that winning streak will happen," said the player, already thinking about 2011.
"Luxembourg has a plan. This year, we want a spot in the Copa Sudamericana. We're going to follow it to the letter, and in 2011 we'll be competing for the four titles we're vying for. At the very least, I imagine Flamengo winning at least one of these championships," he analyzed.
Lomba believes that, although the team is focused on the Copa Sudamericana, they also cannot forget to move away from the bottom of the table.
"In these six games, if we manage two wins and a draw, we'll be safe from relegation. A win against Ceará is important because we'll reach 42 points and, if I'm not mistaken, we'll be close to them. Our goal is to reach 45 against Atlético. We're thinking about the Copa Sudamericana, but also looking ahead," he concluded.
