Goalkeeper Marcelo Lomba is experiencing a unique and special moment in his career. He's where he always wanted to be. Ten years after starting his career at Gávea, Lomba is now a starter for Flamengo's first team. But that doesn't mean he forgets those who helped him reach this position.

Undefeated in the four games he has played this year as a starter, the number 29 is happy with the recognition and shares the merits with his teammates.

"It's recognition of the work. I've been working hard to be where I am today, but the credit goes to the entire team," he said.

Coach Rogério Lourenço also received high praise from the goalkeeper. According to Lourenço, the coach managed to establish a standard for the team, which began to demonstrate more competitive football in the second half of the year.

"Everyone has been running hard, the defense has adjusted the marking, Rogério has given the team a tactical pattern, and Flamengo, more than ever, is showing competitive football. We didn't win three or four goals, but we'll go out there, score a goal, and finish well," he concluded.
