"I thank God for scoring my first professional goal. I tried to pass to Mancuello, but the goalkeeper was too far out of the box and cleared the ball. I saw he was too far forward and took a chance on goal. I was lucky to score, and I'd never scored a goal like that before, but when the opportunity arose, I managed to convert," said the player as he left the field.

When called upon by Zé Ricardo, Lucas received a standing ovation and heard the affection of the fans in the stands, who chanted his name as he was subbed. Paquetá took the opportunity to praise the nation's continued support.

"I'm very happy with the affection of the fans, who, regardless of the result or circumstances, are always supporting and encouraging me. I also thank them for their support and I want to stay focused here at Flamengo, doing my best to earn my place in the squad," he said.

Flamengo returns to the field against Ceará on Wednesday (22), at 19:30 pm, for the Primeira Liga Cup. The match will be at the Castelão stadium, in Fortaleza (CE), and is valid for the 3rd round of Group B.
