Lucas Tolentino, nicknamed Paquetá, has renewed his contract with Flamengo until 2020. The 18-year-old, born on August 27, 1997, has been with the club for ten years and was part of the squad that won the 2016 São Paulo Junior Football Cup. The youngster, who has been training with the first team, celebrated the opportunity.

"I'm very happy for the club's confidence. I hope to be able to work hard now in the professional team, earn my place every day and bring a lot of joy to the Flamengo fans. I've been with the club for ten years, I've gone through good and bad times, but Flamengo always had a plan for me until I reached this point, being able to be used by the coach (Muricy) in the professional team. Now it's about continuing to work calmly, within the club's plan, so that everything goes well," said Paquetá.

According to the athlete, his first days as a professional were a dream come true, playing alongside more experienced players.

"It's different being among the players of the main team. We always have this dream and suddenly we're among them. Everyone welcomed me very well, called me over, encouraged me. I'm very happy for the opportunity," he concluded.
