With a lot of work ahead of them before Flamengo's debut in the Campeonato Carioca, the players continue to prepare on field 5 at Ninho do Urubu. This Thursday (09), athletes Lucas Silva and João Lucas participated in the team's first press conference in 2020. Despite being some of the most experienced players in the squad that will compete in the Taça Guanabara, both want to take advantage of the opportunity to show their talent on the field. 

"We see it as a great opportunity. We try to prepare ourselves thoroughly in training. So that when the opportunity arises, we know how to make the most of it," says the striker.

"It's a huge opportunity to wear the Flamengo jersey. Anyone who plays for Flamengo has to be always prepared. We worked hard with Mister last year and now with coach Maurício," the right-back emphasizes.

The red-black squad returns to work this Friday morning (10), at Ninho do Urubu.
