Early in the afternoon of this Monday (3), striker Luiz Araújo was officially presented, at Ninho do Urubu, as Flamengo's new reinforcement for the season. The 27-year-old athlete, who signed a contract with Rubro-Negro until December 2027, will wear the number 22 shirt. Check out some excerpts from the interview:

First words
"I'm very happy to be introduced. I'd like to thank Flamengo, who have always shown great affection and interest in signing me. This also made my decision easier. Flamengo is a huge club, and I dreamed of wearing this jersey."

Cast quality
"For me, it's the best squad in the Americas. It's no wonder they're the last Libertadores champions, with the great players they have here. I'm very happy to be able to play with these players; I believe I can learn a lot from them and also help everyone. My strengths are speed, good finishing, and good one-on-one play. I like playing out wide on the right, and I have a lot to add to this squad."

Experience outside Brazil
"My time in France was very special. I left Brazil very young and was able to learn a lot in Europe. Playing in the Champions League and the Europa League gave me a great experience. After that, I had a brief stint in MLS, which is a league that is growing rapidly."

"I had the opportunity to watch the last two games at Maracanã. Being able to see the nation up close is even better. It's no wonder it's the biggest in the world."
