Luxa has not yet confirmed Flamengo's starting lineup.
The coach reveals that Deivid will not play against Cruzeiro, but does not guarantee his replacement.
By From the official website team - inThis Thursday (November 25.11th), coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo led a team training session at the Ninho do Urubu training center in Vargem Grande, and gave the first indications of the Flamengo team that will face Cruzeiro on Sunday (November 28.11th) at the Raulino de Oliveira Stadium in Volta Redonda. In a press conference after training, however, he did not confirm who will be in the starting lineup.
During the training session, Petkovic and Kleberson were tested in midfield, while in attack, Marquinhos started in Deivid's place. The coach did not confirm who will be in the starting lineup for the weekend's game.
"Deivid is out, he won't play. But I'm still thinking about the team that will take the field and I'll keep thinking about it. Shall we pick the lineup together?", he joked.
The coach doesn't believe that the difference in points and positions between Flamengo and Cruzeiro in the standings means anything. For Luxemburgo, football is unpredictable and the team from Gávea can beat any opponent.
"That doesn't mean much. Avaí beat the Libertadores champion at Beira-Rio, Goiás beat Palmeiras on Wednesday, so the football is good, but with all due respect to your question, we're talking about Flamengo. It's a decisive game and the fans showed up at the last game, I'm sure they'll support us again," said Luxa, who praised Montillo but also showed confidence in Renato.
"Montillo has found his rhythm with the Cruzeiro team. We need to keep an eye on him. But we also have Renato, who is improving as well," he added.
