Coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo has not yet officially confirmed Flamengo's starting lineup for Sunday's match (November 07.11) against Atlético-PR in Volta Redonda. However, in a press conference held this Friday (November 05.11) after training at the Raulino de Oliveira Stadium, the coach indicated that he will maintain the three-forward formation for the match. Diego Maurício, Deivid, and Diogo are expected to start against Furacão.

The manager rejected any criticism of the players, praised Marquinhos and Val Baiano, but did not say that the fact that they had performed well in recent matches guaranteed them a starting spot.

"I respect the analysis, but I don't think the team played badly. What was really missing was a little movement from the two forwards, Diogo and Diego Maurício. In the second half, things improved. Diogo was already moving a bit more. This doesn't mean that just because Val Baiano and Marquinhos came on, I'll change the team. I'll still train and only decide on the team before the game. I'm aiming for a spot in the South American. I think that's what's important right now," he said.

Luxa did not hide his disappointment with the high number of draws by Rubro-Negro in the Brasileirão, but valued some important points won, mainly away from home, and showed confidence in a positive result against Furacão.

"We want to win games, obviously, and we'll fight for that. But if you stop and think about it, the draw with Ceará there isn't a bad result. They're a team that took points from almost everyone in their stadium," he added.
