Flamengo coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo tested a different lineup in training this Saturday (November 06.11th) in Volta Redonda. In the last training session before Sunday's (November 07.11th) match against Atlético-PR, Luxa made significant changes to the Flamengo team. Despite hinting that he might maintain the so-called "3D Attack," Vanderlei fielded the team with only two strikers in the session. Furthermore, Maldonado returned to the starting lineup in the tactical drill.

The main novelty was the presence of the young Guilherme, 18 years old, recently promoted from the youth team, in the main squad, replacing Diogo. Up front, Val Baiano replaced Diego Maurício. Thus, the team was formed with Marcelo Lomba, Leonardo Moura, Welinton, Ronaldo Angelim and Juan; Maldonado, Willians, Renato and Guilherme; Deivid and Val Baiano. The reserves trained with Paulo Victor, Galhardo, Jean, David and Rodrigo Alvim; Fernando, Correa, Marquinhos and Fierro; Diego Maurício and Diogo.

With 40 points, Flamengo occupies thirteenth place in the Brasileirão standings and is looking to distance itself further from the relegation zone and secure a spot in the 2011 Copa Sudamericana. Atlético-PR, on the other hand, has 50 points, is ninth, and dreams of a place in the Libertadores.
