Luxemburgo leads a tough training session at Flamengo's training center

Coach led tactical activity this Wednesday morning, aiming for quick exits to the attack

Wednesday (November 10.11) started with plenty of sweat for Flamengo. Vanderlei Luxemburgo led a grueling training session at the club's training center in Vargem Grande, focusing on quick attacking moves, finishing, and crossing. Beforehand, the players also did some quick physical training.

Luxa set up the training session as follows: the players initially stood in midfield and moved four abreast toward the goal. The full-backs ran along the sides of the field, zigzagging past cones, and crossed into the box. There, the other three players—two forwards and a defender—were also passing through cones before reaching the goal.

The forwards attempted to score goals while the defenders were expected to prevent them. Flamengo's coach was very involved during the activity, constantly giving instructions, especially to the full-backs. "When it's time to cross, keep your head up."

During training, the players' starting point moved closer to the goal, moving to the midfield and then to the edge of the penalty area.

With a beautiful sunny day at the team's training center, the players didn't neglect hydration. Whenever they had a break from work, they ran for a drink of water and then returned to the field.

Also this Wednesday, at 16:30 pm, the Flamengo squad will have another training session aiming at the match against Atlético-MG, next Saturday, at 19:30 pm, at Arena do Jacaré.
