Luxembourg is also planning the Flamengo of the future.

Coach prepares team for game against América with the remainder of the Campeonato Carioca in mind.

The first rounds of the Campeonato Carioca are like an adaptation phase for the Flamengo team. Coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo knows he needs to put his stamp on the team at the start of the competition in order to achieve increasingly better performance as the championship unfolds.
\
Therefore, Luxa is keeping a close eye on the preparation of all the players, even those who haven't made their debut yet, and using everything he has in his head to put together the team's lineups, even without being able to count on some players.
\
"The Carioca Championship is more talked about because of the players we have. It's a shame that the Maracanã is closed. Imagine a Fla-Flu derby at the Maracanã. I'm putting together a situation for now and for the team's future. We have an expectation of growth. Ideally, we want to win and improve in crucial matches. We hope the team arrives prepared," explained the coach, who sees the weekend's game as a great challenge.
\
"Playing at Edson Passos is hot, the stadium is small, but we will overcome the difficulties. The debut was good. In this first phase, the important thing is to get the qualification," he analyzed.
\
Luxa, however, is not encouraged by Vasco's stumble, another club considered big in Flamengo's group. According to him, there is still a lot to be played for.
\
"We can also have bad results. Vasco can recover. Surprises happen, but hopefully they won't happen to us," he concluded.
