Luxembourg wants Flamengo prepared to face the pressure.
The coach knows that the bad situation is hindering the players, but hopes for calm in the upcoming games.

Everyone knows that Flamengo didn't have a good first half against Atlético-PR. But again in the second half, the team improved, dominated their opponent, and only failed to at least secure a draw due to a good performance by goalkeeper Neto. And this fact, according to Luxemburgo, may have had another reason: the uncomfortable situation the team finds itself in within the league standings.
Having a background in football, Luxa knows that when things aren't going so well, the players end up feeling the 'weight in their legs'.
"We arrived in a position to finish, but make no mistake, in an uncomfortable situation like this, the leg feels a little heavier and things don't go very well. This is all normal," said the coach.
But even though this Sunday it wasn't possible to completely eliminate any chance of fighting against relegation, in the coming rounds Flamengo will indeed be able to 'finish the year' without problems.
"There are four rounds left to be champions up there, and for us too. My math is this: with four points we eliminate two rounds. If we had won, we would have practically resolved the situation," Luxemburgo concluded.
Flamengo will face Atlético-MG next Saturday (November 13th) at 13.11:30 PM, at Arena do Jacaré, in Sete Lagoas (MG). With 40 points, the Rubro-negro occupies the 19th position in the standings. This Monday (November 08.11th), the squad will have a day off and on Tuesday (November 09.11th) they will return to work at the club's training center, Ninho do Urubu, at 16:30 PM.
