Léo Pereira is having his season with the highest volume of games and minutes for Flamengo. Of the 65 games played by the main squad in 2025, the defender was included in the matchday squad for 61, played in 55, started as a starter in 54 and remained on the field for the full 90 minutes in 49 matches.
With 5.300 minutes played this year, Léo has already surpassed his own record from 2024, when he totaled 4.900 minutes in 56 games. Last Saturday, against Sport, when he again played the entire match, he also surpassed the outfield player with the most minutes played in the last season for Flamengo (Fabrício Bruno, with just over 5.200 minutes).
In the Brazilian Championship, the defender maintains the same pattern of consistency: he was included in the squad for 32 of the 33 matches and played in 30, starting in 29.
In addition to his defensive consistency, Léo Pereira also stood out offensively, scoring five goals in 2025, again surpassing his performance from the previous season. Furthermore, all five goals were decisive, opening the scoring three times and securing draws on two other occasions.
The physical demands of the season are also noteworthy: in 2025 alone, Léo has already covered more than 500 kilometers on the field, a distance sufficient to walk from Rio de Janeiro to São Paulo.
All this data reinforces the defender's influence and constant participation throughout 2025, contributing in different phases of the game and maintaining a frequent presence in the main competitions of the season. Furthermore, it highlights the importance of the multidisciplinary work carried out at the club, involving the technical area, physical preparation, the medical department, and physiology.
