Intensity and concentration were the hallmarks of the training session held this Thursday morning (20) at CT George Helal, in Vargem Grande. During a tactical activity closed to the press, Zé Ricardo outlined the team that will take to the field in the classic against Botafogo, valid for the semifinal stage of the Campeonato Carioca. The match will be played this Sunday (23), at Maracanã, with the ball rolling from 16 pm.
The training session began at Flamengo's Performance Excellence Center (CEP FLA), and then the athletes moved to the pitch on Field 4 to warm up, which involved ball exercises and muscle activation. Then, using only half of the pitch, it was time for the training session. The Flamengo manager made adjustments to the team's positioning and defined the game plan for the match.
Closing the day of activities at Ninho do Urubu, part of the group remained on the field to practice free kicks and improve finishing. Flamengo returns to the CT on Friday morning (21) to continue preparations for the classic.
