Carpegiani makes adjustments to the team on the eve of the match against Madureira
By Matheus Oliveira - inIn search of another title this season, the campaign in the Taça Rio will begin this Wednesday (21) for Rubro-Negro. At 19:30 pm, at Engenhão, it will be time to face Madureira, in search of the first victory in the second round of the State Championship.
On Tuesday (20), coach Paulo César Carpegiani led tactical training at Field 5 of Ninho do Urubu. During the activity, adjustments were made to the team's positioning, in addition to offensive movement and high marking in the attacking field. The red-black commander also analyzed the opponent's strengths, in addition to the areas to be explored.
On the same pitch, defender Juan received guidance on specific physical activity with the ball. Meanwhile, at Flamengo's Performance Excellence Center (CEP FLA), midfielder Ederson continued his reconditioning program. In the final stages of the transition to field work, Willian Arão participated in training on a reduced-size pitch on Field 4.
Teamwork in a designated area of the pitch also complemented the tactical work. On the opposite side of the pitch, some of the squad practiced direct free kicks at the goal. Shots closed out Tuesday's session (20).
The red-black delegation will remain concentrated at Ninho do Urubu with a view to tomorrow's match.
