Mais Querido has set dates for the Conmebol Libertadores clashes

The red-black debut in the competition will be against River Plate (ARG)

Conmebol defined this Friday (22) the dates of the clashes valid for the 2018 edition of the Conmebol Libertadores. After the draw held on Wednesday (20), the destination of Mais Querido was group 4, which has River Plate (ARG) as the seed and also has Emelec (EQU). The last component will only be known at the end of the first stages of the most important competition on the continent. Deportivo Macará (EQU), Deportivo Táchira (VEN), Independiente Santa Fé (COL), Santiago Wanderes (CHI) and Melgar (PER) are the clubs competing for the remaining spot.

Scheduled to debut on February 28th, the first match will be against River Plate (ARG). A semifinalist in the last edition of the CONMEBOL Libertadores, the Argentine team also had a strong domestic campaign, winning last season's Copa Argentina. The second opponent will be Emelec (EQU), the Ecuadorian champion. The match will be played at George Capwell Stadium on March 14th. The first leg will conclude on April 18th, at the club's stadium, with the opponent yet to be determined.

On the return leg, the matches will be mirrored, with the visit to 'Ganhador 1' as the opening match, which will take place on April 25th. Next, it will be time to host Emelec (EQU) on May 16th. Finally, Mais Querido will face River Plate (ARG) at the Monumental de Nuñez stadium in Buenos Aires on May 23rd.
