Returning to training at Ninho do Urubu after the 0-0 draw against Botafogo, in a match played at the Raulino de Oliveira stadium, in Volta Redonda, last Sunday (04), Flamengo faced the Mesquita team in a training match held on Field 5. The athletes who started the last match did regenerative activity at the Flamengo Performance Excellence Center (CEP FLA).
During the practice match, coach Zé Ricardo made several changes to the team, which started the session with the following lineup: Thiago; Rodinei, Léo Duarte, Rafael Vaz and Renê; Rômulo, Ronaldo, Mancuello; Diego, Conca and Leandro Damião in attack. The activity was divided into three thirty-minute periods.
At the end of the first thirty minutes, the match went to halftime with Flamengo leading 1-0, thanks to a beautiful goal scored by Mancuello with a left-footed shot from outside the box. The ball even took a slight deflection off the opposing defender before ending up in the back of the net.
In the second half, Felipe Vizeu extended Flamengo's lead with a moment of opportunism, capitalizing on a cross from Matheus Savio to score. Mesquita managed to reduce the deficit to 2-1, but soon after, Adryan increased the score again with a skillful shot past the goalkeeper. All three players involved in the goals entered the game in the second half.
Completing the match, Adryan scored again in the final half of the third period. During that period, four players from the under-17 team played alongside the youngsters already part of the professional team, forming a team composed entirely of homegrown talents. Right-back Wesley, center-backs Marquinhos and Patrick, and defensive midfielder Gabriel completed thirty minutes on the field.
The Most Beloved will return to activities on Tuesday morning (06), continuing preparations for the match against Sport, valid for the Brazilian Championship. The match will be played on Wednesday (07), at Ilha do Retiro, with the start scheduled for 21:45 pm.
