The day after another important victory in the Brazilian Championship, against Bahia at Arena Fonte Nova, the focus of Flamengo turns to the Copa do Brasil. The team returned to Ninho do Urubu this Monday (26), where preparations began for the match against Santos, valid for the quarter-finals of the national competition.

Initially, the athletes went to Field 4 of the training center, where they warmed up, with exercises involving ball work and stretching. Following that, Zé Ricardo led the group in a small-sided game, which included the participation of Flamengo captain Réver and striker Thiago Santos, who is still recovering from injury.

Later, the activity focused on finishing, with passing drills that resulted in one-on-one situations with the goalkeepers, who took turns defending the goal. To conclude the session, part of the squad remained on the pitch to further refine this skill. Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the field, Alex Muralha and César practiced goal clearances and restarts of play, guided by coaches Vitor Hugo and José Jober.

The squad will return to Ninho do Urubu this Tuesday (27), when preparations to face Santos will be completed. This Wednesday (28), at Ilha do Urubu, Mais Querido will host the São Paulo team, with the ball rolling from 21:45 pm.
