The Chilean Football Federation confirmed this Wednesday morning the cancellation of the friendly match between the Chilean and German national teams, a game that was scheduled for next Saturday, November 14. The cancellation, requested by the German federation, was motivated by the mourning following the death of goalkeeper Robert Enke, from the German national team, which occurred yesterday (10/11).
The Federation, however, has not yet announced how it will proceed with regard to the Chilean athletes called up - among them two Flamengo players, midfielder Maldonado and midfielder Fierro, who, if not released, will be out of the game against Náutico, next Sunday, at 17 pm, in Recife.

The Chilean Football Federation informs that due to the regrettable death of senior Robert Enke, member of the German football team, which took place on December 14th, the friendly match between the two teams that would have been played on Saturday XNUMXth November in Colonia has been officially suspended.
The Football Federation of Germany, through its president, doctor Theo Zwanziger, was requested by the president of the Football Federation of Chile, Harold Mayne-Nicholls.
Understanding the emotional blow that this tragic news meant for the sport and sport of this country and as a sign of respect for the mourning that is being experienced in Germany, the Football Federation of Chile immediately agreed to postpone the friendly meeting between both teams.
