In training this Monday (13), at Ninho do Urubu, Marcelo Cirino also returned to training. The striker returned and began work focused on the physical part, under the guidance of professionals from Flamengo's Performance Excellence Center (CEP FLA).
Like the number 7, midfielder Mancuello also returned to training on the field. Coordinated by physical trainer Roberto Oliveira and EXOS consultant Michael Minthorne, the athletes performed specific exercises, separate from the rest of the group. Dr. Márcio Tannure commented on the activities performed by the Argentine player, who is recovering from a head injury suffered in the match against San Lorenzo, in the Mais Querido's debut in the CONMEBOL Libertadores Bridgestone.

"Mancuello suffered a concussion in the last match, and all the imaging tests we performed immediately afterward showed no evidence of injury. However, FIFA's protocol for this type of suspected concussion is that the athlete must work for at least a week without impact and rest for 72 hours without training. We are following this protocol exactly, and we know that Mancuello will be back as soon as possible," explained the head of the club's medical department.

Both athletes will remain in Rio de Janeiro during the squad's trip to Chile, where Mais Querido will face the Universidad Católica team this Wednesday (15), in a match valid for the second round of the group stage of the Conmebol Libertadores Bridgestone.
