Wearing the number 11 jersey since the start of this season, the Argentine commented on returning to the central midfield role due to the absence of Diego, who was called up by Tite to the Brazilian national team. "Last year, I played in that position in several games at the beginning of the year," commented Mancu, accustomed to playing more centrally. "Most of the games I've played this year have been on the right. We started playing in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Diego playing in the middle, but we have tactical variations to replace him, who is obviously a great player," he explained.

Mancuello also praised the strength of Flamengo's squad for the current season, highlighting the alternatives in play and Zé Ricardo's options for shaping the team from match to match. "Flamengo has a very strong squad, and when we needed them, they showed up. There were three games, if I'm not mistaken, in which the coach made changes, and the team didn't feel the absences. These are important players, Diego, Guerrero, and Miguel (Trauco), who will be playing in the qualifiers, and we will be fighting first for a spot in the team, and then to perform at our best on the field," the Argentine added.
