After tactical training this afternoon in Gávea, striker Marcelinho Paraíba learned at a press conference that the red-and-black fans had already purchased nearly 27 tickets for Saturday's game against Atlético-MG at Maracanã. Quite excited, the number 11 praised the strength of the red-and-black nation.

"With the good campaign we're having, the Maracanã is likely to be packed until the end of the Brazilian Championship. With a full house and the fans behind us, we have to give everything on the field. I'd like to take this opportunity to call on the red-and-black fans. It's great to know that they've already bought almost 27 tickets. The support of the fans will certainly make our work on the field easier."

For Marcelinho, consistency will be essential for Flamengo to reach the top of the table.

"We're in a good moment and we can't relax. Consistency in the Brazilian Championship is very important. The group is focused on the goal, which is the Brazilian title. We have to do our part and root against our opponents."

Even with Atlético-MG going through a difficult time in the Brazilian Championship, Marcelinho believes it will be a difficult game at Maracanã.

"I believe Atlético-MG will play defensively, exploiting counterattacks, since the Maracanã field is so large. It won't be an easy game, but we're prepared to overcome the obstacles. We're in good form and have everything we need to win."
