Flamengo presented this Tuesday afternoon (12/18) its second reinforcement for the 2008 season. After five-time champion Kléberson, midfielder Marcinho wore the red-and-black shirt, promising to be very willing on the field.

- "I'm a player who never gives up on the field. Flamengo's fans demand a lot of determination, and there will be no shortage of that. The support of the fans played a big role in my decision to sign with the Club."

The player signed a contract until December 2008, and said that playing for the red-black club is the biggest challenge of his career.

- "I've played for big clubs, but Flamengo is different. Wearing the shirt of the biggest club in Brazil is the biggest challenge of my career, and a huge responsibility."

The former Atlético-MG player was looking forward to meeting the Flamengo fans.

- "I'm so excited to enter the Maracanã and see those wonderful fans. I'll do my best in training and matches to earn the trust of the fans and my teammates."

Present at the presentation of the new reinforcement, coach Joel Santana praised the team's new signing.

"We're building a family, with the goal of winning big titles. Marcinho will help us a lot because he's a very fast and skillful player. He's an experienced athlete despite his young age. Furthermore, he can play in more than one position, which is very important in football today."

Marcinho is 23 years old and has played for Cruzeiro, Grêmio, Atlético-MG, and Gençlerbirligi in Turkey. He has won the Copa do Brasil, the Campeonato Brasileiro, and the Campeonato Mineiro.
