"We're pleased that our work is being recognized. It's by playing well that we receive praise and results. We had four home games to try to open up a lead. We did well in two, and now we need two more to continue winning and maintain a good position in the Brazilian league."

According to the number 22, the team's good performances will make Flamengo fans play along with the team.

"Before coming to Flamengo, I saw that the team's situation was sometimes not the best, but last year we overcame a lot. The fans know that it's difficult to be Brazilian champions, and that's why we need to be patient. We have to play well to instill confidence in the fans, making them support us."

Originally a midfielder, Marcinho excelled at the start of the season playing up front. Now, under coach Caio Júnior, the midfielder is once again being used as a creative player. He promises to dedicate himself to training to adapt to the position.

- "I had a bit of difficulty changing positions, but I know I'll improve as the games continue. I also spent a few days without training, which hurt my tactics. The biggest difficulty playing in midfield is having to defend more, but with training I'll be able to do what's required and I'll start playing better too."
