Marcinho trains and may appear in the Fla-Flu
Player believes he will be 100% on Sunday.
By Flamengo Archive - inMidfielder Marcinho participated in finishing practice this morning at Gávea and could be a new addition to the squad for Sunday's game against Fluminense at Maracanã. He is recovering from lower back pain.
- "The physiotherapists' work was very good and that helped my recovery. I still feel a little pain, but I believe I can be 100% at the weekend to help Flamengo once again. I still feel a little discomfort, as it's a derby, I need to be in perfect condition. There's no point going onto the field feeling anything."
With Flamengo's roster full of talented players, Marcinho believes the competition for a spot will be fierce. A starter in recent games, the number 22 hopes to remain in the first team.
- "Everyone has their place in the group. Mine was earned on the field. Whoever wants my place will have to earn it too, like I did. Everyone here can be a starter and each one must fight to deserve that status."
For Marcinho, he and Renato Augusto can form a great creative duo in the red-black midfield.
- "I've played with Renato Augusto a few times and I don't see any problem. There's no mystery. It just depends on what the coach decides. Flamengo will be the ones who win."
