After training this Monday afternoon, President Márcio Braga gave a press conference to clarify some doubts regarding the Maracanã bidding and the possibility of Flamengo returning to play at altitude.

"Regarding the Maracanã bidding process, we're just waiting for the announcement to be published. We've already formed a very strong group that includes Flamengo, Fluminense, the CBF, and the company that will likely manage the stadium, ISG. The contract will only be signed once the announcement is published. We've been waiting for the state government's position since October."

Regarding games at altitude, the president reaffirmed Flamengo's position of not playing in places above 2.750 meters.

"Flamengo has been showing its dissatisfaction with playing matches at altitude since last year. FIFA's medical committee has already agreed with us. At its FIFA meeting, the South American Confederation voted to ban matches above 2.750 meters, and now it refuses to comply. Since the South American Confederation organizes the Copa Libertadores, we are filing a lawsuit with the Court of Arbitration for Sports to demonstrate how inhumane it is to play in such a situation. São Paulo, Cruzeiro, Fluminense, and possibly Santos are joining Flamengo in this fight."
