"Since we began making financial adjustments, we decided to address these issues a little further down the line. Since these are contract renewals, both players are extremely important and their contracts expire at the end of the year. We've set a date to begin these renewals ten or two weeks before the start of the Brazilian Championship. These two players are established here at the club and very important to the squad. They know this. We'll definitely analyze each player's situation as best we can."

Uncertainty about Carioca
"It's clear that the situation we're in today isn't what we'd like. This pandemic brought with it a new disease, and we're all still learning to live with it. We had to make a series of adjustments, including when we would resume activities and, consequently, the championships. What I can say is that Flamengo has been training for a month now, with a very good run of training. I always say that Flamengo can never remain inactive, stopping everything and waiting for what will happen. We're very calm about this and will wait for a decision."

Positioning of Fluminense and Botafogo
"Flamengo has its own position on how to think and act. Regarding Botafogo and Fluminense, that question should be put to their vice president. The only thing I think is that the day we stopped for safety and to contribute to society, the next day we were already planning to resume activities. This doesn't mean we would be irresponsible. Fluminense and Botafogo don't want to take the field. I respect their position, but I regret it. We will only be 100% safe when there is a vaccine or a medicine."

Reduction of wages
"When we discussed this situation with the team leaders, we made some commitments to the players. Not that they asked for anything in return, but based on experience, I decided it would be 60 days like this, and then we would hold another meeting to discuss the matter again. That deadline hasn't arrived yet, but when it does, we'll hold another meeting."

Club's relationship with the government
 "I think it's the duty of Flamengo's president and board to always be aware of projects related to any government sphere that are beneficial to the club. It's the president's duty to be aware of all these situations. It's important for Flamengo."
