By Romulo Paranhos - inEarly in the afternoon of this Monday (31), striker Marinho was officially presented at Ninho do Urubu as Flamengo's new reinforcement. In a press conference marked by the emotion of his father, Seu Zé Carlos, who is a fanatical Flamengo fan, the player said he was fulfilling his family's dream. Check out some excerpts from the interview:

Challenge at Flamengo
"I needed to take a bigger leap in my career. I needed new challenges. Joining a club with national team players only motivates me more. I hope to win titles, like Flamengo always does."
First contact with Paulo Sousa
"Paulo Sousa is a very intelligent guy, I've noticed that since I arrived. He works hard on intensity. I've had two training sessions here at the club and I'm trying to do what he asks. The coach knows the position I like to play, and the most important thing is that I'm 100% prepared."
Fight for position
"This is the headache the coach will have. The important thing is to have qualified players on the roster. Players from the Brazilian, Chilean, and Uruguayan national teams. The most important thing is for him to know he has several players available."
Relationship with Filipe Luís
"He said: now you're on the right side, I can't keep chasing you anymore. I identified with him, now I have the privilege of playing for him, since he didn't like playing against him."
Tribute to father on first goal
"When I signed with Flamengo, the first thing that came to mind was the first goal. I want to pay tribute to my grandfather, and I'm already thinking about it."
Winning titles with Fla
"Flamengo is always used to winning. The nation is huge, it's gigantic. The team yearns for something more, and that's why I hope to bring joy to the fans."
