Flamengo's squad returned to training this Tuesday afternoon in Gávea. In a tactical training session, coach Cuca finalized the team's details for tomorrow's Brazilian Championship match against the talented Barueri team at Maracanã.

With Juan, Toró, and Zé Roberto ruled out by the medical department, and Welinton, Fabrício, and Everton suspended, coach Cuca fielded a 4-4-2 formation, with youngsters Marlon and Jorbison among the starters. The first team trained with Bruno; Léo Moura, Marlon, Ronaldo Angelim, and Jorbison; Willians, Airton, Kleberson, and Fierro; Emerson and Adriano. Cuca took advantage of the tactical training to practice set pieces and fine-tune the positioning of the defense and midfield.

Captain of the 2006 and 2007 state junior championships, defender Marlon returned to the club last month after a stint with Thrasivoulos in Greece. At 23, the player stated that he is ready to play a great game.

"I've been working for a long time to make the most of this opportunity. I joined Flamengo in '97 and know the club well. I trust my potential, I've been working hard, and I'm confident I can play well and help Flamengo achieve a victory."
