Matheus Sávio, from the U-20 team, and Lucas Paquetá and Felipe Vizeu, from the professional squad, were called up by coach Rogério Micale for a national team tournament in Chile in October. The tournament is a preparatory tournament for the 20 South American U-2017 Championship in Ecuador.

Twenty-two players have been selected for the tournament, which will also feature Uruguay, Ecuador, and Chile. All will report to the coaching staff for the training phase on October 22nd. Training will take place at Granja Comary until the 2th, and on Chilean soil starting on the 7th.
The quadrangular title will be won by the team with the most points, using a round-robin format. On the 12th, Brazil will face Uruguay. Next, on the 14th, they'll face Ecuador. Finally, on the 16th, they'll face the hosts, Chile.
