Doctor Serafim Borges, from Flamengo and the Brazilian national team, approved FIFA's decision to ban international matches from being played in cities whose altitude exceeds 2.500 meters.
"The decision came too late. As it was, there was a risk of death. Now, at least, the players will have the minimum conditions to play," said the doctor, who participated in the preparation of one of the reports sent to FIFA for the measure to be taken.
