The players' tired faces and the sweat dripping from their shirts and vests don't lie: this Friday morning (January 07.01th) was a busy one at the SM Sport training center in Londrina, where Flamengo is holding its pre-season training. Coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo and physical trainer Antônio Mello created a physical and technical circuit that demanded a lot from the players.

The group was divided into three: gray, black, and red. Each group performed a different type of activity and rotated between the circuits: cone running, rope and obstacle jumps, ball possession drills with two touches, and finishing drills. The training had been scheduled since Thursday (January 06.01th), when Mello and Diogo Linhares, also a trainer, set up the circuit on one of the training center's fields.

Argentine Bottinelli and Chilean Maldonado did physical activity in the gym, as did striker Wanderley, who arrived at the hotel on Thursday night and had his first training session on Friday. The Flamengo squad will remain at the training center until 15 pm, when they will go to the Londrina city hall for a meeting with Mayor Barbosa Neto. Afterwards, the players will train at the Estádio do Café, the venue for Sunday's (January 09.01th) friendly match against Londrina.
