This Friday (05), Flamengo held the last training session, at Ninho do Urubu, before the match against Macaé, which will be held tomorrow (06), at 18 pm, at Maracanã. The match is valid for the second round of the Campeonato Carioca. It is always good to remember that Rubro-Negro is playing with an under-20 team, added to some professional athletes, in the first games of the competition.

Maurício Souza, the club's coach in the initial rounds, led technical and tactical training at the training center. Striker Michael, defensive midfielder Hugo Moura, and midfielder Pepê joined the rest of the squad and will be available for this Saturday's match.

Flamengo and Macaé have faced each other twelve times in the State Championship, with a clear advantage for the red-and-black team. Flamengo has won seven, drawn four, and lost one. The last meeting between the two teams ended in a 0-0 draw at Maracanã in January 2020.
