Mengão plays well and beats Avaí 3-0 in the Brasileirão

With goals from Gabigol, Pablo Marí and Reinier, Mais Querido dominated the match from start to finish

It was all Mengão! On Saturday afternoon (7), Flamengo took to the field at Mané Garrincha and beat Avaí 3-0, in yet another excellent collective performance by the red-black team. The match was valid for the 18th round of the Brasileirão, and the red-black goals were scored by Gabigol, Pablo Marí and Reinier.

The game
From the very beginning of the match, it was clear that Mengão was in the mood for the game, and they exploited their players' refined ball skills to open the scoring. And it didn't take long! In the 10th minute, Gabigol received the ball from Reinier and tapped it past the goalkeeper into the back of the net: 1-0 Fla. In the 33rd minute, after a corner kick from Everton Ribeiro, defender Pablo Marí rose to the third floor to head home and extend the lead. The Mais Querido (Most Beloved) finished the first half 2-0 up and playing engaging football. 

The second half began with Mengão maintaining the same intense pace. In the 7th minute, Arão passed to Reinier, who passed to Gabigol. The number 9 returned the ball to the youngster, who slotted it into the back of the net for Avaí: 3-0. The red-and-black team's first goal in the professional ranks, demonstrating a lot of personality throughout the match.

As the game progressed, Rubro-Negro controlled the action, with greater possession from start to finish, and left the field with 3 more points guaranteed.

Mengão will play again next Saturday (14), at 17 pm, at Maracanã. The team will face Santos in the last round of the first half of the Brasileirão.
