The red-black squad returned this Tuesday morning (17), at Ninho do Urubu, and carried out an activity before the trip to Cariacica, in Espírito Santo, where they will face Madureira tomorrow (18), at 19 pm, at the Kleber Andrade stadium. The confrontation is valid for the second round of the Campeonato Carioca.

Coach Vitor Pereira will be with the main team for the match against Tricolor Suburbano. The goal is to get the team back into game form, as they face Palmeiras in the Brazilian Super Cup final on January 28th. In early February, the "Mais Querido" will travel to Morocco for the Club World Cup.  

Flamengo and Madureira have faced each other 150 times, with the Gávea club having a clear advantage. Flamengo has won 108 times, drawn 28, and lost 14. In last year's Cariocão Championship, Flamengo won 2-1 in Conselheiro Galvão, with goals from Everton Ribeiro and Willian Arão.
