Important commitment ahead! On Tuesday afternoon (6), the red-black squad returned to training at Ninho do Urubu and carried out the last activity before facing Vélez Sarsfield (ARG), in the second leg of the Conmebol Libertadores semifinals. The match is scheduled for tomorrow (7), at 21:30 pm, at Maracanã.

Coach Dorival Júnior led a tactical training session on the field and finalized the details of the team that will take the field this Wednesday. He will be without defenders David Luiz and Léo Pereira, who are serving suspensions.

The Most Beloved is a semifinalist for the second consecutive year in the Copa Libertadores (2021-2022). This is the sixth time that the Rubro-Negro has reached this stage of the continental competition, advancing to the final on three occasions.

It's worth noting that Flamengo achieved a great result in Argentina, defeating Vélez 4-0, with a hat trick from Pedro and another goal from Everton Ribeiro. To advance to the final, Mengão can even lose by three goals and still secure a spot in the final.
