Mengão holds final training session for tomorrow's classic

Rubro-Negro faces Botafogo at Nilton Santos, in the 22nd round of the Brasileirão

This Friday (1), Flamengo held its last training session at Ninho do Urubu, before the classic against Botafogo, which takes place on Saturday (2), at 21 pm, at Nilton Santos. Jorge Sampaoli carried out some tactical work on the field in the morning, in order to define the eleven players who will start the match at the weekend. Rubro-Negro is in fourth place, with 36 points, with the same score as Grêmio, third in the table.

Players Giorgian de Arrascaeta, Luiz Araújo and Guillermo Varela are out due to injuries, the first two with a problem in the biceps femoris of the left leg, and the full-back, with a problem in the medial collateral ligament and joint capsule of the right knee.

It is worth remembering that the two teams have faced each other 389 times, 64 of which were in the Brazilian Championship, with 164 victories for Mengão, 126 draws and 118 defeats.
