Mengão won again! With a goal from Uruguayan midfielder De Arrascaeta, the Mais Querido defeated CSA this Sunday, at Maraca, by 1 to 0, in the 28th round of the Brazilian Championship. 

The game

Mengão started the match in the usual fashion: overwhelming their opponent. Eight minutes into the first half, they opened the scoring with De Arrascaeta, after a beautiful play: 8-1. The Mais Querido continued to press and had at least three more good chances to score before halftime, but they squandered them. At the back, goalkeeper Diego Alves put in another outstanding performance, making two crucial saves in the first half.

In the second half, Mengão's big chance came from Gabigol. In the 43rd minute, he received a beautiful pass from Willian Arão and fired a powerful shot, but goalkeeper João Carlos made a good save. And that was it: 1-0 Mengão, and a national celebration at Maracanã!

And now?

Flamengo returns to the field on Thursday, at 20 pm, to face Goiás, away from home.
