The game
The first half was fiercely contested, but the Mais Querido had the best chances. The best of them fell to Reinier, who fired a cross-shot in the 45th minute and only missed the goal because defender Paulão saved Fortaleza on the line.
In the second half, Mengão suffered a scare in the 15th minute. Bruno Melo scored a penalty for the home team. Mengão equalized in the 37th minute, also from the penalty spot: Gabigol. The thrilling comeback came in the 43rd minute, with Reinier heading in: 2-1 and a national celebration at Castelão!
