In the 26th round of the Brazilian Championship, Flamengo defeated Fortaleza 2-1 on Wednesday night at Arena Castelão. Gabigol, from the penalty spot, and Reinier scored the goals for the Mais Querido.

The game

The first half was fiercely contested, but the Mais Querido had the best chances. The best of them fell to Reinier, who fired a cross-shot in the 45th minute and only missed the goal because defender Paulão saved Fortaleza on the line.

In the second half, Mengão suffered a scare in the 15th minute. Bruno Melo scored a penalty for the home team. Mengão equalized in the 37th minute, also from the penalty spot: Gabigol. The thrilling comeback came in the 43rd minute, with Reinier heading in: 2-1 and a national celebration at Castelão!
