Forward Bruno Henrique scored both goals for the "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved). The second leg will be played next Wednesday at the Beira-Rio stadium in Porto Alegre.
First time
Flamengo dominated the match from the start. In the first half, they had three excellent chances to score. Two shots from outside the area, by Everton Ribeiro and Bruno Henrique. And, in the clearest chance, by Gabigol. In all three instances, goalkeeper Marcelo Lomba saved Inter.
Second time
In the second half, Flamengo improved with the introduction of Gerson. And it was from his foot that the first goal came. In the 29th minute, after a great counter-attack, the midfielder served Bruno Henrique who, with the goalkeeper out of position, pushed the ball into the net: 1-0 Flamengo. In the 33rd minute, it was Gabigol's turn to assist BH. The striker received the ball and shot with his right foot into the corner past Marcelo Lomba: 2-0 Flamengo and celebrations from the Nation at the Maracanã! Flamengo could have extended their lead minutes later with Gabigol, but that was all.

Flamengo, nicknamed "O Mais Querido" (The Most Beloved), returns to play on Sunday against Ceará, away from home, in the Brazilian Championship.
