In the second preseason friendly in Portugal, Flamengo beat Lausanne, from Switzerland, 2-0, on Wednesday afternoon (8), at the Algarve Stadium. Superior throughout the match, the Rubro-Negro controlled the actions from start to finish and built the victory with goals from Lorran and Wallace Yan, both in the second half. The following day, the Rubro-Negro delegation returns to Brazil to continue the final stretch of the preseason.

The game

The friendly match began with Flamengo dictating the pace and controlling possession in the attacking half. The first dangerous play by the red-and-black team came in the 15th minute, with Joshua. The Flamengo youth academy product made a good individual play, broke through the middle, passed to Cebolinha, who then set up Wallace Yan. The striker controlled the ball and shot across goal, forcing a great save from Castella.

Shortly after, Joshua received a good pass in the area, but, at the moment of the shot, was tackled by Soppy. Flamengo threatened again in the 32nd minute. Cebolinha crossed into the area, Wallace Yan shot first-time, but sent it wide. The first half ended goalless at the Algarve Stadium.

At the start of the second half, Flamengo opened the scoring. Johnny recovered the ball at the edge of the area and passed to Wallace Yan, who found Lorran coming in from the right. The number 99, who had just come on, finished past the goalkeeper to put Flamengo ahead: 1-0.

With the changes made by Leonardo Jardim, Flamengo continued their attack in search of extending their lead. In the 21st minute, during a quick counter-attack, Cebolinha set up Samuel Lino on a run. The striker faced his marker inside the area, cut inside onto his left foot and shot across goal. The ball went very close to the post.

Flamengo scored their second goal in the 30th minute. Lausanne's defense made a mistake playing out from the back, giving the ball to Wallace Yan. The striker controlled the ball and shot into the corner to extend the lead. Advantage: 2 to 0.

In the final minutes, Flamengo maintained possession in the attacking half, searching for a third goal, which almost came through Samuel Lino. The striker took advantage of a loose ball inside the area and unleashed a powerful shot that was well saved by the goalkeeper. After four minutes of added time, the referee blew the final whistle, confirming Flamengo's victory in the preseason.
