Architect and landscaper Haruyoshi Ono, partner of the firm that designed the Novo Ninho project, dies

Author of the panel that beautifies the winter garden of the professional module of the George Helal Training Center and partner of the Burle Marx office, which signed the Novo Ninho project, the architect and landscaper Haruyoshi Ono died this Sunday (22), at the Hospital São Lucas, in Copacabana, South Zone of Rio, at the age of 73, victim of an intracranial hemorrhage.



Haru, as he was affectionately called by his friends, was a disciple and partner of the architect, landscaper and visual artist Roberto Burle Marx, who passed away in 1994.

The architect's death was communicated on the Burle Marx Landscape Design Office Facebook page:

"It is with sadness and longing that we announce the passing of our beloved Haru. Haruyoshi Ono dedicated more than 50 years to the firm, having been a creative partner of Roberto Burle Marx for over 30 years, developing renowned projects in Brazil and abroad. His children, Isabela Ono and Julio Ono, the architect and wife Fatima Gomes, and his partner, Gustavo Leivas, who have worked with him for over 20 years, continue to lead the projects and the landscape collection, continuing his legacy. We will inform here as soon as we have the location and time of the wake."
