Décio Crespo, player of the 1950s and 60s, dies
Décio played alongside Carlinhos in great Flamengo teams

Former player Décio Crespo de Castro, who played for Flamengo in the 1950s and 60s, died this Friday at the age of 82 in Atafona (São João da Barra), where he lived. He suffered from Alzheimer's disease.
Décio Crespo started out at Rio Branco, where he won the youth championship, on a team that also featured right-back Aluysio, who later became journalist Aluysio Cardoso Barbosa, one of the founders of Folha da Manhã. At Flamengo, he won the youth championship in 1956, alongside Carlinhos Violino, who would later become coach of the Rubro-Negro's first team.
At Gávea, Décio played until 1964, later moving on to other clubs such as River Plate, Milionários (Colombia), Bangu, Canto do Rio and football in the United States.
Décio played for Flamengo between 1957 and 1964, appearing in 56 matches wearing the red and black shirt.
