Zé Roberto motivated for first classic with Vasco

As the players took part in a relaxed recreational training session this morning in Gávea, a group of one hundred fans sang in the stands and cheered them on. The crowd's presence was just one more ingredient to motivate Zé Roberto in his first derby against Vasco in the red-and-black jersey. Responsible for the constant movement in attack, the number 10 believes Flamengo has everything it needs to emerge victorious tomorrow.

"It's always good to know the fans are behind us. We're playing a derby marked by rivalry, and it will certainly be difficult given the quality and current form of our opponent. I know a win will put us in a more relaxed mood. If we don't win, the pressure will remain intense, but I'm calm and certain we have everything we need to put on a great performance," analyzed Zé Roberto.

Defender Ronaldo Angelim, who returns to the team after undergoing surgery on his right leg, anticipates the natural difficulties of a balanced clash like the classics, but believes that Flamengo has everything it needs to put into practice what it trained during the week.

"It's great to be back on the team, and I think it motivates my teammates, not just because of the problem I had, but because of the friendship we have here. I hope I can help Flamengo win, even though I know it won't be easy," said Angelim.
