On Tuesday afternoon (14), idol Mozer was introduced as Flamengo's new football manager. The world champion gave a press conference in the press room at CT George Helal after the day's activity. Alongside the club's president, Eduardo Bandeira de Mello, and the Mais Querido's football director, Rodrigo Caetano, Mozer spoke about how he feels about being back at the club after 29 years.

Return to Flamengo
It's a source of pride for me to return to this place. I arrived here 15 years ago and completed my entire learning journey at Flamengo. I spent time in Europe as a coach and learned a lot. The experience I've gained over the years may have influenced my return to share this management role alongside Rodrigo Caetano. Besides the technical duties, there's little time for coordination.
Dialogue with players
Human beings are diverse in their thinking. Every player has their own way of being, their own personality, their own character. I've already spoken with the club's psychologists, who explained the players' individual characteristics to me. This is extremely important for further motivating them.

Most memorable moments as a club athlete
My most memorable moment was my debut. It was in a Flamengo-Flu match, and the stadium must have held about 160 people. I was 19 years old, playing alongside the idols I admired during my development at Flamengo. After that came the Brazilian Championship, Copa Libertadores, and the icing on the cake against Liverpool in Japan.
Red-black cast
What I have in mind is a family nucleus. That's what we'll try to recapture. We have a fantastic group, and it's very easy to integrate that environment. A team isn't a group of people who work together, but a group of people who trust each other. This is a young team, with great technical capabilities and the ability to assimilate new ideas.
Advice to players
My goal is to exchange ideas with the athletes. Experience sometimes provides a bit of room for conversation with others. They seemed very receptive and willing to engage in this exchange. The club's older players should also be a point of reference for the team. I rely heavily on them to help this team grow stronger every day. They are athletes with a very important past and present. By setting an example, they can leverage the development of the younger players. If we can combine this experience with the youth's willingness, it could be a very beneficial symbiosis for the group.
