Next Wednesday, Flamengo has another match in the Taça Rio. After a winning start to the competition, the Red-Blacks will face Madureira at Maracanã, hoping to maintain their momentum toward their fourth state championship. However, coach Andrade, as he did last week, is still unsure which team he will field.
Kleberson and Adriano will remain out of the squad, as they play against the Brazilian national team on Tuesday. Chilean Fierro is doubtful after the earthquake that struck his country on Saturday morning. Petkovic, with thigh pain, and defender Alvaro, will still be re-evaluated. Therefore, Andrade will analyze the opponent's formation to decide on the best options for his team.
"I haven't decided on the team yet. I don't know who will replace Adriano and Kleberson. That will depend on how Madureira plays. We'll wait for that information to make a decision," the coach explained.
One presence, however, is certain: Vinícius Pacheco. Whether in midfield or attack, the number 22 is more than confirmed. In excellent form, he scored two goals in the victory over Macaé and is increasingly playing a role in the starting lineup.
"I'm in a good moment, and playing is important, in any position. But today (Saturday), when I played closer to the goal, I was able to score two goals. Flamengo has a great squad, and everyone has shown their ability. In every position, we have more than one player available to Andrade. So it's important to show our worth in any area," said Pacheco.
